Privacy and Image Use Statement

About This Statement

This page explains how I (the photographer) use and share photos I take, especially at public events, and how I respect your privacy.

Ownership of Photos

I own the copyright to all photos I take. I use these images to showcase my work, promote my services, and share community moments on my website, social media, and other materials.

Photos at Public Events

When you attend public events like festivals or Pride, photography is expected. Being in public means your image might be captured. This is called implied consent, which means I can use photos from these events to show the atmosphere and energy.

Respecting Your Privacy

I always aim to respect everyone’s privacy. For photos where individuals are clearly identifiable and it’s practical to do so, I will seek permission before using images commercially beyond my portfolio. However, at public events, many photos include people in crowds or situations where I cannot identify or contact everyone. In these cases, I use the images responsibly and with respect for the event’s public nature.

If you see a photo of yourself on my site and would prefer it not be used, please contact me, and I will promptly remove or stop using the image.

Removal Requests

If you want a photo removed from my site, please get in touch by emailing:

GDPR-danconwayphotography@outlook.com. Please use 'IMAGE REMOVAL' as the subject line. I will respond quickly and take down the image as soon as possible.

Limits of This Statement

This statement covers how I use photos. It does not apply to others who might save or share images once they are online.
