Hi, I’m Dan Conway — a self-taught photographer based in Lancashire, often found exploring Manchester and beyond with both my Canon and my drone.

I split my time equally between ground photography and aerial photography. This balance lets me capture life from two very different perspectives: up close and candid on the streets, or sweeping and cinematic from above.

My style leans towards documentary and street photography, capturing real, unscripted moments as they happen. From community festivals and cultural events to everyday street life and protests, I’m drawn to honest scenes filled with character and energy.

How It All Started

I first picked up a camera through drone photography, fascinated by the unique perspectives from the sky. Over time, I expanded into handheld work with my Canon, where I could connect more closely with people and their stories. Today, I use both equally to create a fuller picture of the world around me.

Everything I’ve learned has come through practice, curiosity, and observation. I haven’t had formal training — my style has grown naturally through real-world experience and a genuine love for capturing authentic moments.
